A BILL to amend article sixteen-a, chapter seventeen of the code
of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section
thirty, relating to transferring title, administration and
operations of "TAMARACK: The Best of West Virginia",
located along the West Virginia Turnpike, from the West
Virginia parkways, economic development and tourism
authority to the division of tourism within the bureau of
commerce.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article sixteen-a, chapter seventeen of the code of
West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section
thirty, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 16A. WEST VIRGINIA PARKWAYS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND
TOURISM AUTHORITY.
§17-16A-30. Transfer of "TAMARACK: The Best of West Virginia"
to the division of tourism.
Notwithstanding any other provision of this code to the
contrary, effective the first day of July, one thousand nine
hundred ninety-seven, the title to the facility known as
"TAMARACK: The Best of West Virginia," and all associated
property, both real and personal, located along the West Virginia
turnpike, and all related powers of administration and operation,
shall be transferred from the West Virginia parkways, economic
development and tourism authority to the division of tourism
within the bureau of commerce.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to transfer the title and
responsibility for administration and operation of TAMARACK from
the Parkways, Economic Development and Tourism Authority to the
Division of Tourism and Parks within the Bureau of Commerce,
effective July 1, 1997.
